Girl Scouts of Northeast Georgia

Outreach Programs

Our outreach initiatives are vital to the successful delivery of the Girl Scout program. Because our council jurisdiction is spread out to such a wide variety of communities and areas - from metropolitan to rural - and because of our diverse population, the traditional Troop method of Girl Scouting may not be feasible.

Therefore, the Girl Scout program has evolved along with our population to better meet the very specific needs of the girls we now serve. For many girls, meeting during or after school is a much more viable method of being involved in the program.

For others, our STOMP (Strong Troops Obtaining Maximum Potential) is best. This initiative is designed for under-served communities and is funded primarily by grants.

Gamma Gamma Sigma is designed to reach middle school-aged girls, utilizing college sorority volunteers to deliver specialized program.
