Every
girl has an opportunity to participate in enriching programs
and activities within the council as an individually registered
Girl Scout, or Juliette Girl Scout, without being affiliated
with a troop or group.
Juliette
Girl Scouts choose this option for many reasons:
- Her schedule will not allow time for troop meetings.
- There may not be a troop or group in her area.
- Her troop or group has disbanded and she does not want
to join another troop or group.
- She wants to participate in only one or two Girl Scout
activities a year, such as resident camp, a council-sponsored
event or join a committee.
What can a Juliette Girl Scout
do?
A Juliette Girl Scout can do all of the same things as Girl
Scouts in troops or groups on her own. * A Juliette Girl Scout wears a "Juliette"
patch on her uniform in place of troop or group numbers.
* She receives all council mailings which
provide information on program opportunities offered by
Girl Scouts. * She can register for and attend council-sponsored
programs and events for her age level. * Juliettes can also earn Girl Scout Awards,
from Try-Its, badges and interest projects to the Bronze,
Silver and Gold Awards. * She can register for and attend council-sponsored
activities with a troop or group registration if a parent
can also attend.
How can I be a Juliette Girl
Scout?
Contact the council office and speak with a membership specialist.
Registration is $10. If a parent or other adult wishes to
become a member, ask them to complete a registration form
and pay $10 as well.

We
welcome and encourage parents and other mentors
to join Girl Scouts. Registration
as a Girl Scout will ensure that you receive
council publications and that your name will
be included on the list of Juliettes provided
to program specialists so they can inform you
of council and community activities and events.
