COOKIES!
Everyone
likes cookies - especially Girl Scout cookies! The cookie
sale has become one of the more recognizable fundraisers
in Girl Scouting.
Cookie
Sales do MUCH more for the girls than just help raise troop
funds, though. Did you know that planning, carrying out
and completing the annual event helps girls learn marketing,
mathematics and goal-setting skills? Cookie orders start
in December and booth sales (at your neighborhood grocery
and other stores) start in mid-February.
Cookies
go on sale January 2008. For more information, call Debbie
Bradberry at 706-548-7297.
For
2008 our council will participate in a GSUSA coordinated
national online marketing campaign to direct potential cookie
customers through a single point of entry on the Web to
connect them with their local Girl Scout council. In our
overall brand development efforts, the goal is to increase
public awareness of the cookie program as the leading business
literacy program for girls. Additionally, this initiative
will provide a manageable and testable benchmark to expand
online activities in future years
Please note that in continuing to promote internet safety
GSUSA does not permit internet sales of cookies by troops
or individual girls.
QSP!
Each
fall, Girl Scout troops sell magazine subscriptions. The
money the girls earn is used for activities and troop expenses.
This year the theme is "Treasure Your Mind," and
the prizes you can win for selling subscriptions or filling
out address booklets, are GREAT this year! For information
on magazine sales, call Debbie
Bradberry at (706) 548-7297.
