It's
a Girl's Life. Lead It.
Girls in Girl Scouts are always on the go and always pushing
the limits. We always seem to be reach higher, dream bigger,
and do more. Where others are afraid to try; we have already
tried and, succeed or fail, have at least had the life experience
some only dream of. Where others see only problems, we see
only solutions. We are the future leaders of our school
and businesses. We are Girl Scouts.

Are the girls in your
troop extraordinary? Of course they are! GSUSA would like
to "Share the News" about our girls - in their
own words!
www.gogirlsonly.org,
is looking for articles written by girls in between 5-11.
Click on the above link for examples of previous stories.
Remember, our readers/writers are usually between the ages
of 7 and 13.
Some prompts for articles might be:
- What's it like to be a Junior
Girl Scout (younger girls ask this all the time)
- How do YOU deal with a bully?
- My annoying brother/sister and
how I deal with it
- Moving to a new town -- and a
new troop!
- A great service project
- What leadership means to me
Also, your troop could write a whole
article together. They will even put up a picture of the
author(s), as long as their parents are willing to sign
release forms. Also - when you send GSUSA a story, make
sure you send it here
as well. Everyone likes to have good reading material!
Here are some quick links that may make your time in Girl
Scouts more enjoyable or may help you in working with other
